1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Use govern your use of shaunsgames.com and its pages (the "Site"), operated by Shauns Games LLC ("Shauns Games," "we," "us"), a California limited liability company. By using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. You must be at least 13 years old to submit any form on the Site.
2. Ownership
The Site and everything on it, including text, artwork, logos, the robot mascot, characters, story, code, and the names Shauns Games, Protocol: Robot, and Protocol Integrated Systems, are owned by Shauns Games LLC or used with permission, and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. All rights not expressly granted here are reserved.
3. What You May Do
You may view and use the Site for your own personal, noncommercial use. Journalists, reviewers, and content creators may use materials from the press kit, along with screenshots of the Site, to cover Shauns Games and Protocol: Robot. You are welcome to make fan art, videos, streams, and theories about the game and the Site, including videos on platforms where you earn advertising revenue, as long as you do not suggest they are official or sell merchandise using our names or artwork without written permission.
4. What You May Not Do
- Scrape, copy in bulk, or mirror the Site, or use automated tools to collect its content.
- Attempt to hack, overload, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Site or the services behind it.
- Submit false information, someone else's email address, or harmful content through any form.
- Impersonate Shauns Games, or misrepresent your relationship with the studio.
- Use the Site in any way that breaks the law.
5. Fiction Disclaimer
Protocol Integrated Systems is a fictional corporation. Its employees, characters, forms, procedures, products, memos, the A.R.I.A. assistant, and every other company or person portrayed in the Protocol: Robot universe are fictional. Any resemblance to real companies or people, living or dead, is coincidental. Pages written in the voice of the fictional company, such as the employee portal, the handbook, and the "behavioral record," are part of the story. They do not collect or send the data they describe; see our Privacy Policy for what actually happens.
6. Game Information
Protocol: Robot is in development. Features, platforms, pricing, and release timing described on the Site are current plans and may change. Nothing on the Site is an offer to sell or a guarantee that any feature will ship.
7. Third Party Links and Trademarks
The Site links to services we do not control, including Discord, YouTube, Instagram, Threads, X, Bluesky, Mastodon, TikTok, Steam, and Formspree. Your use of them is governed by their own terms. Unreal and Unreal Engine are trademarks of Epic Games, Inc. Steam is a trademark of Valve Corporation. Other names and logos belong to their respective owners, and their mention does not imply endorsement.
8. No Warranties
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non infringement, and we do not promise the Site will be uninterrupted, error free, or free of harmful components.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shauns Games LLC and its owner will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Site. Our total liability for any claim related to the Site is limited to one hundred US dollars (US $100). Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
10. Governing Law and Venue
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute relating to the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, California, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction.
11. Unsolicited Ideas
We do not accept unsolicited game ideas, story pitches, artwork, or other creative submissions. If you send one anyway, we may delete it without reading it, and you agree that we owe you nothing if we later release something similar that we developed independently. Feedback you post publicly or send about our existing games and Site may be used by us freely to improve them.
12. Mini Games and Easter Eggs
The Break Room Arcade, achievements, scores, and other hidden features on the Site are for entertainment only. They have no monetary value, cannot be redeemed or exchanged for anything, and may change or disappear at any time. Scores and achievements are stored only in your browser.
13. Copyright Complaints
We respect the intellectual property of others. If you believe something on the Site infringes your copyright, email contact@shaunsgames.com with: your contact information; a description of the work you believe was infringed; the address of the material on the Site; a statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; and your physical or electronic signature. We will review every complete notice and remove material where appropriate.
14. Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to use the Site. Our goals and the ways to reach us if something does not work for you are described in our Accessibility Statement.
15. General
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Site. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours as part of a sale or reorganization of the studio.
16. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
